big bus, tiny home

We’re downsizing from a 3000 sq ft house to a 250 sq ft bus! Here is our “skoolie” renovation progress in pictures. Check back often, we’ll be sharing more conversion photos with each visit to see our tiny home take on a life of her own. #getonthebus

The Wide Wonder Bus is finally finished - we now call this mobile wonder home!

Getting so close to finishing, the school bus renovation is really taking shape! Desk area, custom built-ins and kitchen are going in quickly!

It’s finally time to paint. The interior is being transformed to our vision . . .

The bathroom is being tiled and custom cabinets built . . .  Almost ready to paint!

All the solar panels are on.  More walls up. Shower walls getting cement board to prepare for tile.  The shower “niche” installed and will be tiled.  Bathroom, “office,” bunks all frames up. Roof rack, lighted bathroom medicine cabinet, and bathroom sink all arrived today!

Update number three is all about turning our attention to the interior. Walls are going up, kitchen sink has arrived, materials for countertops and flooring are on the way. AND the first solar panel has been placed and it’s generating electricity!

Here's our second trip to see our beautiful beast. Proof that all of the primer and prep work paid off, check out the new paint job! Here she is. We don't know her name yet. She's wise from age, protective with arms of steel, and her mission is to educate and spread hope. We love getting to know her.

Our first look at our 40ft Thomas school bus, the original windows are being removed and the interior is stripped down to bare bones.
